Finding the perfect place to rent in Austin can be a challenge, especially in certain trendy neighborhoods. If you’re in the market for new digs, the latest report from Zumper reveals the most in-demand neighborhoods for renters — where you’ll likely need to act fast.

For the report, the first of its kind, Zumper analyzed every request it received in February to determine the most popular neighborhoods in town.

West Campus and North Campus tie for No. 1, unsurprising given their popularity among college students. Rent in these ‘hoods is relatively affordable too. One-bedrooms go for $1,050 in West Campus and $1,060 in North Campus — that’s cheaper than Austin’s median rent of $1,130.

Just up the road is Hyde Park, one of the hottest neighborhoods in America and the third most popular for local renters. The top five also includes the trendy but very different neighborhoods of Zilker, No. 4, and Brentwood, No. 5.

The list is rounded out by Old West Austin, No. 6; Riverside, No. 7; Bouldin Creek, No. 8; Windsor Park, No. 9; and downtown, No. 10. While popular, a few of the latter neighborhoods will set you back a pretty penny. A Bouldin Creek one-bedroom goes for $1,500, and it’ll cost you $1,920 (the most expensive in the city) to live downtown.

Those looking in Windsor Park are in luck. Not only is this one of the hottest ‘hoods, it’s also the cheapest in town. You can score a one-bedroom for $800, and hopefully you’ll have some income left over to actually enjoy living in Austin.
